MONTEREY PRESIDIO, Calif. (May 24, 2022) – The Monterey Presidio and Camp Roberts fire departments successfully partnered with other agencies to conduct the first multi-agency burn on May 4 at Camp Roberts, California . .
The team burned 77 acres to reduce fire danger, improve the ecology of the area and improve safety, said Corey Prow, fire prevention manager for the PoM Fire Department. Camp Roberts is about 100 miles south of the Presidio in San Miguel and is part of the US Garrison PoM.
