JBSA said the wildfires were under control by 88% as of Tuesday afternoon. No further evacuations are envisioned.

An overnight rain and humid conditions helped keep the fire under control, officials said, adding that it did not reignite or spread overnight.

JBSA-Camp Bullis officials said fire patrols will continue through the weekend and could be extended into next week until the fires are 100% contained.

"The coordinated and joint efforts of JBSA's fire department and many local fire departments and agencies have been vital to the firefighting effort," the news release said.

JBSA fire officials say the situation remains precarious, so residents are being asked to monitor social media for updates on fire services from local fire departments.
